Bullit
Bullit is a 7.2 metre Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) co-owned by Andrew Kane (Skipper) and George McGonigal (Skipper in training) and her current home is Bangor Marina, County Down, Northern Ireland. The vessel got her name by combining the speed she can achieve over the water with the occupations of the co-owners, namely information technology, hence Bullit. Thanks to Margaret Ramm for coming up with the name.
Delivered new in May 2011 the purchase was brokered by Barnabas & Clarke, official dealers for Asis ribs in Northern Ireland and the vessel imported and fitted out by North Atlantic Rib Marine Limited who are the sales and distribution centre for Asis ribs in the UK, Ireland and Europe. Asis are a well known manufacturer of RIBs located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The power plant is an Evinrude Etec 200 hp six cylinder 2-stroke outboard supplied by Bombardier Recreational Products. Links to these companies are given below.
Bullit and her crew regularly participate in the International Ribraid events, which over 10 years have grown into the premier cruising and social event for RIB owners in Ireland, SW Scotland and the Isle of Man. See www.ribraid.com for more details. These events are a great way to see our boats in action, to have a bit of craic and make new friends. We also scoot to Scotland for Sunday lunch on a regular basis. While Bullit is not available for hire we do frequently take guests out to experience the thrills of ribbing.
